What you actually gain
- Back paddles: jump, slide or crouch without lifting your right thumb off the aim stick — the biggest competitive gain.
- Trigger stops: shorter travel for near-instant shots in shooters.
- Stick caps: standard, high dome or low dome, so you can tune precision to your grip.
- Profiles: save settings per game and swap them from the controller mid-session.
- Replaceable stick modules: drift can be fixed without replacing the whole controller.
The trade-offs
- Battery life is shorter than a standard DualSense — plan on charging between sessions.
- It is heavier, which some players like and others do not.
- Nothing here helps in single-player story games; the value is in competitive shooters.
